Family. Where life begins and love never ends. - Author Unknown

how much does it cost?
An upfront payment applies to all sessions and ranges from $200-$495 depending on the session/s you are booking. This is your Session Fee and covers your time with me, either in the studio for your newborn session, or on location for your portrait session. Your session fee does not include any images or products from your session.

The final amount your will spend is a tricky one to answer as it really is entirely up to you. There are no minimum spend requirements when you purchase your images, giving you complete flexibility on setting your own budget and taking home the photos you absolutely love from your session.

To give you a starting point, we have wall art starting at $215, and digital collections from $1095.
Check out the pricing guides in the pricing page and the session information on the Newborn, Maternity and Family pages.

The best thing to do is send through an enquiry or give me a call to discuss the vision you have for your images.

what does a session with you look like?
When I am behind the camera, I am always guided by the littlest people of your family. My style is natural and unforced, I take joy in making you laugh and my images are about the connection between you and your children, not about everybody looking at the camera and smiling.

Enjoy. This is your time to just ‘be’ with your family. Celebrate your love for them.

when is the best time to book?
As soon as possible is always a good place to start.

For your family session, it is ideal to plan as far in advance as you can. As the Tiny and Brave schedule tends to fill well in advance, the more time we have to plan your session, the more successful we will be in providing you with the most beautiful images.

This is also the case with newborn sessions, ideally your newborn session will be booked in while you are still pregnant where possible. We simply pencil in your baby’s due date, and then you let me know when baby has arrived. Sessions are best held at around 7-14 days, and as it is difficult to plan around a baby’s arrival, this is the best way to ensure a session is available for you once you are holding your baby in your arms.

The best thing to do is send through an enquiry or give me a call and we can discuss availability for you.

where will our family photos be taken?
The location for your family session is entirely up to you, however I am on hand to help find the perfect spot if you're stuck for ideas. Gardens and bushland are very popular and are some of my absolute favourite locations to work with. I also love to visit family homes and properties where you feel most comfortable and the scenery means the most to you. A trip to the beach with the sun setting on the sand is just beautiful too! When it comes to picking a spot, the options are endless and to make it an easy process, I always help families to pick a location that would suit their lifestyle and I travel all over for a good spot so I am sure we can find you something perfect!

where will our newborn photos be taken?
Newborn sessions are held in the Tiny and Brave newborn studio in Briar Hill, a quirky little suburb North of Melbourne. There is plenty of off street parking for safety and convenience.

what do we bring to a studio session?
A nice toy that your child likes is a good idea to put them at ease. If you would like a special wrap or clothing featured in your session please bring that along also.

I offer quite a simplified style, keeping the props to a minimum, allowing your baby to be the main focus of your images. My studio is full of gorgeous beanies, headbands and wraps to style a unique gallery of images to suit your home.

If older siblings will be involved in your session, I have toys and books on hand, and always have the colouring supplies out. But the studio tends to get a little boring for little people at times, so snacks are a must and perhaps their favourite toy from home so they know they are safe and in a happy place.

what do we bring to a location session?
This depends on the ages of the children involved, but bringing a not-too-messy snack to keep rumbly tummies at bay is a good idea as well as a drink and some nappies and wipes.

how long does a photoshoot go for?
Newborn sessions are extended to allow for plenty of time to settle and comfort your baby, some poses take a little longer to prepare and when older siblings are joining in the fun, this takes a little extra time too. So to ensure everyone is relaxed and not feeling rushed, we allow 3-4 hours for your newborn session.

Family sessions will vary from family to family, depending on how many family members you have, the ages of your children and the location we. Most little people have a timer on them and let me know more often that not that we have been together for 40-45 minutes. This is the time their attention tends to waver and they’ve had enough. But I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to keep them interested, so please allow 1- 2 hours for your family session.

can we include our much loved pet in our photos?

Oh yes please! I am a big lover of all animals and know how much your furbabies are a big part of your family. Whether they join you for your family session outside, or your newborn session in the studio to help welcome their new sibling into the world. They are absolutely welcome to join in the fun! Let's talk more about this in the lead up to your session.

we see a lot of photos on your social media, do our photos have to go online?
Not at all! About 90% of the work I do is kept offline and I will only ever post photos with your full consent. Some families are ok with Facebook and not Instagram, or vice versa, some families are ok with their images featuring on my blog, but not social media at all. All options are completely fine and again, nothing is posted anywhere with out your consent and I am happy to discuss this in detail to ensure I am aware of what you are comfortable with through the whole process.

what should we wear?
The most important thing to remember when dressing for your session is to simply be yourself. Be comfortable; pick your favourite outfit that makes you feel amazing, and run with it! If you love what you are wearing, the confidence that your outfit gives you, will shine through and leave you looking incredible in all of your photos!
Ideally your family will be dressed in complimenting colours, light colours work beautifully, with everyone in the same tonal range. Plain and simple clothing for mum and dad is perfect.

Please avoid large pictures and logos as these are a distraction in your images.
During the Newborn session, your baby will most likely be a nudie rudie for a good part of their photos, so you don’t need to worry about an outfit for them.

what's the bad weather plan?
Let’s face it, we live in Melbourne and more often than not, the weather is not what it was meant to be...or the day will start off miserable and the sun will shine through when it is time. The most important thing is for everyone to enjoy the session so if the weather gods are not on our side, I am always more than happy to reschedule. I am also happy to embrace it - so it is whatever works best for you. We will chat more about this in the lead up to your session.

do you offer digital files on USB?
Yep! I strongly believe in the value of beautiful artwork to display your images throughout your home, however I do understand that you may wish to print and share images with your family. So for this reason, digital files are offered in our Digital Collections. All digital collections also offer a complimentary 6x4" reference print of each image you choose to take home, so you will have something beautiful to look at before you head off and print your images yourself. Like many, you may choose to gift these prints to your family and friends.

we've had our session, what happens next?
Your time with me will result in approximately 30-60 finished images to choose from. Once your gallery has been processed, I will be in touch to arrange a time for you to come into the studio for your design consultation.

when will we get to see our photos?
Your finished gallery of images will be ready for viewing approximately 1-2 weeks after your session.

what is a design consultation?
Design Consultations are held in the comfort of my studio where you’ll view your gallery of images for the first time.

Your Design Consultation is your time to select the prints and products you would like from your session, so it is really important that all decision makers are present.
Starting with a beautiful slideshow, together we will work to select your favourite images and create your wall art for your home.

If you would like a full copy of my print and product purchasing guide, please get in touch.

how long will our prints and products take?
Depending on the products selected they can take up to 4-6 weeks, but I do my absolute best to get them to you as soon as possible.

My products are selected from suppliers across Australia and each item is carefully handcrafted at the highest quality, so this can take time.
If you do need your images in a particular timeframe, please keep this in mind when booking your session and keep me up to date on all time constraints.

how do I pay?
You will be sent an invoice for your session fee. This is payable at the time of booking via bank transfer.
Once your artwork has been selected during your design session, payment is due before your order enters production.
Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card.
Credit card payments attract a surcharge of the total balance of your order. This surcharge is 1.75% on Visa and Mastercards, 2.9% on International and AMEX cards.

do you offer payment plans?
Interest Free payment plans are available on orders of $995 or more. 20% of your order is payable at your design session, with the remaining balance split into equal weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalments to suit your personal circumstances.

how do we book a session?
Easy peasy! Get in touch via email or give me a call, head to the contact page and send through an enquiry, hit me up on my Facebook page or Instagram…there are endless ways to get in touch, so which ever means of contact you prefer is the way to go!
